Who we are

Premenstrual Disorders Australia (PMDA) is the first Australian organisation to specifically address Premenstrual Disorders (“PMDs”) with the intention to positively impact the lives of the 5-8% of Australian women* individuals, including their carers and families, who have, will, or are - living with a Premenstrual Disorder (“PMD”).
“This disorder, not only almost cost me my life, it robbed me of almost any quality of life I could have had, for those 30 years, continuously. However, whilst I am so incredibly lucky to have survived it, there are so many others - who will not.” – Brie Moore, Founder

Affiliated with the leading global body for Premenstrual Disorders, The International Association for Premenstrual Disorders (IAPMD), PMDA aims to further the critical efforts of IAPMD to address PMDD, PME, and women's mental health, spearheading positive change in the lives of all those affected by a Premenstrual Disorder throughout Australia.

Our story

Launched in 2023 by Brie Moore, Premenstrual Disorders Australia (PMDA) is the first Australian body to represent, advocate and support individuals and families affected by hormone-based mood disorders - Premenstrual Exacerbation "PME" and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "PMDD".
